AUCTIONS AMERICA BY RM EXPANDS MARKETING MUSCLE BY ADDING TIMEPIECE PR & MARKETING TO ITS TEAM
DALLAS, TX (November 10, 2011) - Auctions America by RM has increased its marketing muscle by retaining TimePiece Public Relations & Marketing (TPRM). The collector car and motorcycle auction company hired TPRM to assist the Auctions America team with its strategic marketing communications, digital and social media programs. Auctions America by RM specializes in the sale of American classics, European sports cars, Detroit muscle, hot rods, customs and classic motorcycles. In 2012, the Indiana-based company will host seven events across the country.
“We boast a fantastic group of experts who continue to consign some of the most desirable collector cars and motorcycles ever built,” said Ed Cepuran, partner at Auctions America by RM. “Now we’re creating a world-class marketing team that has the same horsepower. We believe that TPRM can help accelerate our efforts based on both their accomplishments and shared passion for our hobby.”
Auctions America by RM was founded in 2010 following the purchase of the Auburn Auction Park in Auburn, Ind. by RM Auctions. One of the largest venues of its kind in the United States, the Auburn Auction Park hosts two events per year, one in the spring and the other in fall; they are jointly presented by Auctions America by RM and Carlisle Events. The company’s flagship event, the famed Auburn Fall Collector Car Auction, Swap Meet & Car Corral is a Labor Day tradition for motoring enthusiasts, coinciding with the celebrated Auburn Cord Duesenburg Festival in September.
Rounding out the Auctions America calendar is the well-established collector car auction in Fort Lauderdale, FL, as well as events at the Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL, auctions in the spring and fall in Carlisle, PA, and an all-new dedicated motorcycle sale in Las Vegas. Future auctions are in the planning stages and new sale dates will be announced shortly.
As a subsidiary of RM Auctions, Auctions America is backed by the world’s largest collector car auction house. It was founded on the principles of providing superb service, prompt payment, honesty and integrity in every aspect of the auction process.
“Auctions America is a first-class organization with trusted experts who truly understand the collector car hobby,” added Scott Black, president of TPRM. “We’re pleased to help their team promote their ever-expanding calendar of events and quality consignments. Working with Auctions America will allow us to leverage our expertise in the automotive industry to help the company reach its goals.”
TPRM’s first assignment will be to support the promotion of Auctions America’s inaugural Las Vegas Premier Motorcycle Auction on Jan. 12-14, at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Some 400 classic motorcycles are expected to cross the auction block during the three-day event. Feature bikes include a historic 1894 Roper Steam Motorcycle, a 1911 Wagner, a 1911 Sears Single Cylinder, a 1910 ½ Yale Single Cylinder and a 1929 Cleveland.
